Gelatin shell preparation
Gelatin and other ingredients like sorbitol, glycerine, opacifier etc are heated and melted it can take approx. 3 hours,evenly mixing of these materials makes molten liquid mass. This liquid mass travels to spreader box and then cooling drum and as a result formation of thin gelatin ribbon takes place.
Inner fill (medicament) preparation
The fill material of soft gelatin capsule may occurs in liquid form, suspension form or semi-solid form and it can be prepared by suitable methods according to their physical forms.
Encapsulation process
During encapsulation process both the gelatin solid ribbons reached at the same time in the tooling system.Meanwhile inner fill material is filled in the hopper. Via some tubes inner fill material travel to heated injection wedge with the help of displacement pump and fill material injected from wedges, When these simultaneous process takes place die rolls cuts and both the halves of gelatin solid ribbons seals together.
Processing of finished soft gel capsules
After manufacturing of soft gelatin capsules it will send to quality control department for further testing and processing.
